The Snow Storm Of 2013.....

CRAZY THAT THE SNOW FELL 3" AN HOUR AT AROUND 8PM FEB.8 2013~

MAYBE THATS' WHY PEOPLE JUST STARTED ABANDONING THEIR CARS IN THE MIDDLE OF ROUTE 347 FROM MILLER PLACE THRU MOUNT SINAI ON DOWN TOWARDS PORT JEFFERSON.......(PERHAPS BEYOND I JUST DIDN;T VENTURE THAT FAR)

WE GOT AN EMERGENCY CALL SAYING TO STAY OFF THE ROADS BUT WE COULDN'T HELP BUT CHECK OUT THE HOOD AN SEE FOR OURSELVES....

THIS IS THE CORNER OF ROUTE 112 AND 347~ LOOKING NORTH ACROSS 112 THIS CAR AND VAN "PARKED" ?!!!!

EVEN IF THE SNOWPLOWS WERE OUT AN ABOUT THERE WAS NO WAY THEY WERE GONNA GET MUCH DONE WITH ALL THESE VEHICLES PARKED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MAJOR ROADWAYS. I WAS AMAZED AT OLD TOWN ROAD WHEN I SAW AN 18 WHEELER BURIED IN SNOW LITERALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD ...CAUSING MILES OF TRAFFIC.

THE SIGHT OF ALL THE SNOW AN ALL THE VANS AND THE LACK OF SNOWPLOWS JUST SEEMED KIND OF IMBALANCED.

AT EVERY TURN PEOPLE WERE GETTING STUCK AND UNSTUCK !

SUNSHINE SEEMED OBLIVIOUS OF THE DAYS BEFORE AND EXPLORING IS ONE THING~

BUT WHEN THE PHONE RANG SAYING, " MOM I;M ON THE 5:15PM RONKONKAMA TRAIN......

A ROUND TRIP FROM MOUNT SINAI IS USUALLY A 30 MINUTE TRIP!!!
THREE HOURS LATER! WITH A DETOUR THROWN IN ~ WE SAW THIS POOR CAR WITH NJ PLATES

TOSSED ASIDE WITH THE SNOW. APPARENTLY THERE WAS A SNOWPLOW ON RT.112 BUT I WONDER "WHERE ARE THEY?"~ BECAUSE EVERY NEIGHBORHOOD WE SAW WAS OBLITERATED AN LEFT FOR THE PEOPLE TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES.....I'M BEGINNING TO FEEL LIKE WE ALL BETTER GET USED TO THIS SELF SUFFICIENCY!!!! ~ANARCHY BITCHES~

Dr. Carl Jung deemed raven symbolism to represent the shadow self, or the dark side of the psyche. I very much like this. Why? Because by acknowledging this dark side, we can effectively communicate with both halves of ourselves. This offers liberating balance, and facilitates tremendous wisdom (something the raven would be very pleased with).
In other words, through the consistent unveiling of inner depths, and the positive/active utilization of inner impulses the esoteric secrets become exposed to the light of our own consciousness. This is at the crux of what the raven speaks to me.
