Joan Hall at the Westbeth Gallery

Came into the city to visit my mom, as I have been trying to do , every first weekend of the month- Mom brought me down to view Joan Hall's Collage Show. WOW. I was awe struck, if you have time - go see it.

3/13/23 today is june 17-2024- i came across this post.... this lady was so offended by me & my fascination and questions. I wonder if I were She- how would I have "taken" to me & all of my many obsessive questions..... Pretty sure she took me off her mailing list- as I had signed up for her workshop & was looking forward to it. I never got any of the info... funny how I was visiting my mom the day after her workshop SO I know she didn't cancel it.... but JOAN HALL certainly cancelled ME- what a flat fuddy duddy.....hindsite- as fascinated and inspired as I was- and still am- I am truly sad by women whom diss their younger counter parts. I asked her, did she work to or with music? NO I asked her, did she have symbolism in her work? NO I asked her, did she have inspiration from any fellow collage artist's- she looked down at me and said- YES...and wouldn;t you know when I looked him up - her work was a direct rip off.... Maybe she saw herself in me- the imposter artist. something I think she didn;t enjoy watching me "LOOK" and visually rape her work...because I loved it so much.... HER NOT SO MUCH>
